Imagine the thrill and satisfaction for a seasoned Public Relations and Communications Manager to become a part of an NGO that boasts over 51 years of impactful history, recruiting a diverse range of stem cell donors across seven countries and facilitating over 100,000 transplants with a registry of more than 11 million donors.

The main aim of this role is to uphold, enrich, and analyze their presence on social media platforms and other digital channels. It involves attracting potential donors, raising awareness about the need for financial donations, and motivating individuals to volunteer through the NGO's social media outlets.

You will play a crucial role in the communications team, tasked with boosting the local brand, increasing awareness, shaping opinions, encouraging blood stem cell donor registration, aiding in financial contributions, keeping registered donors informed and engaged, supporting various departments, overseeing digital activities, and collaborating with the global corporate communications team to ensure consistent global strategies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project management:
    • Design and execute effective Communication, PR, and Marketing strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals.
    • Ensure campaign budgets are managed efficiently.
    • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders in the CC department.
  • Media Relations:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with media and influencers to guide media strategies, handle media inquiries, organize interviews, provide quotes and commentary, and secure media coverage.
    • Promote media placements, craft brand-aligned marketing communication, identify and manage speaking opportunities, and ensure timely responses to communication needs.
    • Support social media efforts and shape content strategies to generate positive media coverage for the NGO.
    • Identify and oversee relevant advertising opportunities in line with organizational objectives.
  • Manage partner agencies:
    • Hold weekly status meetings, collaborate with creative and media agencies, brief and oversee campaigns and projects, and ensure deadlines are met while aligning messaging with organizational strategies.
  • Report, track, and measure:
    • Analyze campaign outcomes, provide detailed reports on campaign performance, develop insights, and optimize strategies for better results. Monthly reporting on PR and campaign outcomes.
  • Writing Skills:
    • Experience in crafting press releases, blogs, social media content, and other campaign material. Engage with various departments to shape content, support global staff and stakeholders in content development, and manage the creation of campaign content by external service providers.
  • Passionate about integrated communications:
    • Collaborate with the corporate communications director to create and execute integrated campaigns across digital, ATL, and PR platforms.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified, preferably in digital marketing, with at least five years of proven experience in social media management, monitoring, and responsiveness. Prior experience in the nonprofit sector is beneficial.
  • Quick to grasp new applications, excellent written communication skills, sensitivity in patient interactions, strong planning and prioritization abilities, proactive and adaptable demeanor, meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, solutions-oriented approach, well-versed in industry trends, multicultural appreciation, willingness to travel, and creative thinking skills.
