We are looking for a full-time content manager to join the Eclipse South Africa social team.

If you have a passion for social media, series, movies and pop culture this might be the job for you We are looking for someone located in either Cape Town or Johannesburg and be available to travel locally if needed.

An ability to speak and write in Xhosa or Zulu is a plus but not critical.
Applicants must have a minimum of two years experience in social media. Applicants must have experience community managing brands (the larger the brands social media following the better). The position will be available from 1 November.

Scope of work

Work as part of the cross-functional local teams to implement title campaigns, as well as producing social content at a small (always on content) and large scale (campaign).

Support locally relevant and global priority titles (TV series, documentaries, films and comedy specials) selected.
Foster and build our social media following while remaining locally relevant, topical and entertaining.
Writing, shooting and directing talent requests featuring talent for socials, both locally and globally.

Creating and contributing to social reports on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis, as well as campaign-specific reports looking at the social impact of editorial, publishing and marketing assets.

Planning, creating and editing trailers, sizzles and photoshoots.
Manage digital calendars
Create social executions for small scale events, if any (e.g. screenings, junkets, etc )
Reporting
Contribute to cross-functional sentiment reports that track campaign sentiment through its social beats (date announcements, trailers, launch etc).
Contribute to cross-functional reports that go out weekly or monthly.

Content creation:

Daily community management across the different active platforms for Netflix South Africa namely Twitter with options to contribute to Facebook, Instagram

Note:
You will be given one platform to captain.
Creation of content for each platform to reach current KPI's
The localization of international content in copy that fits with our audiences on each platform.
Ideation and curation of social content according to established country strategy (across Originals and Brand content)

Creation of social media assets for the different active platforms (including but not exclusive to clips, GIFs, multi-title a/v assets, images, memes, reactive content).

This also includes the briefing of the above mentioned content.
Creating a social strategy for South African audiences that was still within the Netflix guidelines but remained locally relevant.
Managing talents social media when necessary during campaign periods.
Shoots (if and when applicable)
To create and manage documentation for social shoots such as concepts, references, soft scripts, timings, props and or backgrounds.
Interpreting and shooting talent requests from Netflix regions with local talent.
Events (if and when applicable)
To brainstorm and create social components for events.
Manage social media challenges during events such as live takeovers, managing red carpets, managing talent talking points etc.
