Objective of this Position

Duties and Responsibilities

HUMAN RESOURCES
Vacancy Advertising

  • Vacancies to be advertised via selected media, whether concurrently or separately as allowed for by the business circumstances at the time.
  • Compile and prepare the type of employment required.
  • Identify the responsibilities of the vacant role.
  • Identify the experience and skills required.
  • Draft, review and post adverts on the selected media portals.
Screening CV's

  • Sort, filter and arrange CV's.
  • Screen resumes based on vacant role requirements.
  • Do valid checks and references.
Interviewing Process

Induction

  • Induction to RIC Property
  • Issuing of contract after Director/ Line manager signs.
  • Prepare and arrange Employee performance review with line manager
  • Explaining and signing of Job Description and KPI's.
  • Orientation to the workplace and team.
  • Compliance/ Health and Safety induction.
  • Create personnel files, file documents and always keep up to date.

INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS/ EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Drafting and amending Code of Conduct policies and procedures.
  • Developing and implementing labour related policies and procedures.
  • Maintain working conditions between the Employer and Employee.
  • General policy on working hours, remuneration, overtime and leave days.
  • Health and Safety work closely with HSE to mitigate and reduce risks and incidents.
  • Conflict resolution between the Employer and Employee or Employee and Employee.
  • Complaints and disciplinary processes.
  • Contractual matters and employee concerns.
  • Labour disputes and complaints.
  • Employment policies and procedures, and contracts.
  • Investigating new complaints/incidents and following up on any ongoing cases.
  • Monitoring the adherence to labour agreements between employer and employee.
  • Arranging and attending meetings with employees, unions and other relevant parties for contract negotiations.
  • Interpreting and explaining contracts and agreements to employees and the employer to prepare for engagement on these.
  • Mediating discussions between relevant parties and proposing resolutions to any disputes.
  • Preparing communication on labour related activities and any relevant changes that may have been agreed upon.
  • Investigating employee matters such as disciplinary actions, suspensions and terminations of contract.
  • Preparation for disputes, new cases and hearings.
  • Provide counseling on policies and procedures
  • Drafting of various/ relevant charge sheets according to the Code of Conduct.
  • Knowledge regarding LRA, BCEA and constitutional law of South Africa.
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
  • Action new policies and procedures as needed or amended.
  • Employment Equity Report submissions
  • EE R/P
  • Employment Equity Plans
  • Work Skills Plan report and submission, ATR/WSP
  • Grant claims from the various SETA's
  • Prepare and Cooperate BBBEE verification
  • Attending CCMA case

  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

  • BSc/BA in business administration, social studies or relevant field; further training will be a plus
  • Min of 3 years in the same role
  • Sound knowledge of the LRA, BCEA and Labour Law Acts.
