JOB SUMMARY
The Digital Field Marketing Center of Excellence is currently recruiting for a SEO Specialist.

This role will ensure completion of defined tasks within the SEO programme, for all hotels who participate across Europe, Middle East & Africa.

The SEO Specialist will be primarily responsible for the execution of keyword research and content optimization, while supporting, collaborating and guiding on other components as required.


CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • Diploma in marketing or related field or equivalent certification from higher education advantageous
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
  • Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools such as SEOClarity
  • Copywriting experience advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable analyzing high volumes of data
  • Familiarity with content management systems
  • Experience with other aspects of marketing advantageous
  • Strong workflow management skills
  • Organized, detailoriented and deadlinesensitive; takes initiative and anticipates needs

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
Delivers against all aspects of the Digital Marketing program and associated services for hotels and the area.

This includes:

Search Engine Optimization

  • Support in the management of the SEO programme for EMEA
  • Develop understanding of industry, markets and hotels to ensure high relevance in recommendations and optimizations
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine optimization
  • Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities, using tools such as SEOClarity
  • Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success
  • Handle technical and strategic questions relating to SEO strategy for hotels
  • Manage multiple markets and hotels while executing timesensitive deliverables
  • Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in organic traffic metrics
  • Monitor performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance
  • Understand technical SEO and how to monitor and improve performance where possible
  • Support and collaborate with SEO workgroup, providing recommendations and enhancements to deliverables and programme tactics
  • Conduct training sessions as needed with market teams on SEO programme, deliverables and strategy
  • Stay abrest of trends and changes globally, and inform and adapt based on these

Relationships & Processes

  • Develop knowledge and work with Marriott international teams to improve turnaround and SLA's to hotels.
  • Manage relationship with key vendors to drive scalability of efforts and implementation consistency (e.g. Digital HQ, Tripadvisor etc.) and platform development oriented at better tracking/conversion
  • Where appropriate, develop, support and implement new processes and track output to improve efficiency for the team.
