We are currently on the lookout for an Events Co-Ordinator to join our energetic team.

Essential Criteria:

  • Hotel Management / Events Management Qualification (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a related role
  • Demonstrated expertise in event planning / coordination within a corporate setting

Primary responsibilities of the role:

  • Customer and personal service - understanding of providing customer and personal services, meeting quality standards, and assessing customer satisfaction
  • Media and Communication - knowledge of media production techniques, communication methods, and ways to inform and entertain through various channels
  • Developing products, enhancing sales, and executing event plans efficiently
  • Monitoring and boosting sales performance of all amenities
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, product promotion, and sales techniques
  • Managing all event bookings for various properties including The Bay Hotel, The Camps Bay Retreat, Pezula Nature Hotel and Spa, The Farmhouse Hotel, and Harbour House Hotel
  • Handling bookings for special occasions like Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, and New Years, among others
  • Ensuring compliance with coordination, billing, and event procedures as per company policies
  • Managing relationships with key suppliers
  • Adhering to health and fire regulations for food service and facility upkeep
  • Supervising equipment maintenance for the department
  • Resolving customer complaints efficiently
  • Charging and following up on all accounts promptly
  • Overseeing staff operations and event set-up
