This is a national role to support the planning and drive the implementation of Heineken Beverage South Africa's Marketing & Trade Marketing plans.

Drive initiatives through successful management of the Integrated Activity Planning Processes enabling excellent in Trade Execution working closely with Head Office and Regions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and monitoring national trade activity.
  • Support traffic manager in the planning process, making recommendations to improve trade activity.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide insights during the development phase of trade activity grids.
  • Participate in brand and channel workshops to supply informative and learnings, to driving increased market understanding and alignment between head office and regional trade marketing.
  • Assist national traffic manager to drive and update the integrated trade activity grids.
  • Actively participate in the activity planning meeting routines.
  • Assist in driving workload balancing checks, ensuring that national execution capacity matches the national execution plans and adjust with National Traffic Manager where necessary.
  • Drive the execution & tracking of trade activity plans:
  • Take ownership of briefing the trade activity grid to the regional channel managers for the identification of the correct outlets at regional level.
  • Manage the outlet identification process between Head Office and the Regional Channel Managers to deliver final outlet identification to the activity planning specialist.
  • Prepare detailed execution excellence decks per allocated big hit, brand promotion and channel activation.
  • Coordinate and Manage Monthly Sales Briefing Sessions with the Regional Trade Marketing Managers for campaigns before Go Live (1month prior Go Live)
  • Track and measure weekly Big Hit and Brand Promotion Performance (Compliance and SOH) of Big Hits via weekly reporting to the Traffic Manager
  • Manage trade activity execution and provide performance analysis during and post activity execution.
  • Compile detailed Execution PCA's and ensure reviews and learning's are shared with the overall business for national gains.
  • Build regional execution insights enabling the Head Office and the Regional Ownership of: Customer prioritization, Campaign targeting and Mechanics, Bold initiatives, Pricing compliance and Merchandising execution.
  • Ensure effective campaign reporting and tracking during and after each campaign, as well as national activation reporting.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role. (Field Force Background)
  • Proven experience in sales reporting and planning.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • The ability to build relationships with a variety of business stakeholders to effectively manage work output required.
  • Excellent business presentation skills and high attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
  • High level of communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritise work.
