Duties:

  • Evaluate the scope of internal audit projects alongside the Internal Audit Manager.
  • Tracing of processes to evaluate the effectiveness of control environments.
  • Identifying risk areas and strategizing the most appropriate controls to mitigate these risks.
  • Adhering to compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Analysing data to assess risks and noncompliance
  • Preparing of audit planning documents and audit work papers.
  • Planning and preparing concise audit reports with the relevant root causes, impact and recommendations
  • Ad hoc store reviews and other reviews
  • Attending stock count.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade12)
  • BCom/ CTA
  • CA (SA) or completed CIA

Experience:

  • 5 years within an internal audit environment
  • Experience in the retail, wholesale, logistics and pharmaceutical industries would be beneficial
  • Drivers license in essential

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledgeable of Internal Audit, Risk Assessment methodologists, International Internal Audit Standards and IFRS
  • Good understanding of data analysis as well as documenting of auditing work papers
  • Participative and able to work well in a team
  • Coach, supervise, and mentor junior team members
  • Technical expertise
  • Have a disciplined approach by ensuring timeous completion of audit plans with mínimal disruptions
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
  • Eager to learn and develop within career
