About The Job


Well established UK music company PLAYY., currently has a Music Writer position available working for the PR department in Cape Town.

You will be responsible for scouting bands, writing interviews, features and news pieces.

You will be in direct contact with management companies, Record labels, Music PR companies worldwide, sourcing and supporting the best new music from across the globe.


Do you consider yourself up to date with the latest music trends, new artists in the industry as they emerge? The New Music Writer will spend a lot of time listening to music and writing.

Sound like you?

You will need:
- good knowledge of dj's on and off the circuit
- good writing skills
- good understanding of Google Drive

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Office
- strong organisational skills

  • Attention to detail
- reliability
- enthusiasm and creativity are essential
- good telephone manner and people skills
