  • To manage and control software licenses across the FirstRand group by enabling proactive license control in software acquisition, inventory tracking, database entry, software license compliance activities, maintenance software renewals, life cycle planning and costing/budgeting. experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance or Related Field
  • ITIL SAM Certification
  • CSAM Certification
  • Professional Registrations: ITIL/CSAM
  • Minimum : 5 years' experience in analysing and interpreting licensing terms and conditions
  • Preferred : Experience in the financial industry
  • IT Asset Management and Discovery Tool experience (FlexNet Suite)
  • Conceptual knowledge of Information Technology and server environments

  • Analyse, identify savings and optimisation opportunities per Publisher
  • Prevent wastage, and on an ongoing basis identify process improvements in order to contain and reduce costs
  • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines in order to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
  • Collaborate with SMEs to obtain critical information required for the management and support of FirstRand supported software
  • Manage licensing renewals for customers, ensuring that all software renewals are completed timeously
  • Develop and improve process to define the entitlement and inventory scope
  • Reconcile the hardware and software inventory information to understand the compliance position of the Group
  • Manage Citrix, RedHat, Atlassian, Oracle, VMWare, IBM and other platform licensing
  • Participate in projects in the capacity required
  • Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions
  • Leverage industry best practices to govern and manage physical and cloudbased software services and subscriptions and software license entitlements
  • Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
  • Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within FNB and/or across the FRG
