Job description


The position will be a combination of constructing, maintaining and fixing modular units, maintenance of production equipment, tools and company assets, as well as plumbing the above-mentioned units and onsite installations.


Your main duties cover:

MODULAR UNIT PRODUCTION

  • Maintain and fix production equipment and vehicles;
  • Maintain and fix transportation trailers;
  • Travel to onsite installations and lead a team to complete the installation of the modular units to a good quality standard;
  • Suggest, build and maintain production jigs to increase production staff efficiency;
  • Plumb modular units and complete any other specific jobs;
  • Assist the production manager in supervising and training staff;
  • Assist in the production of modular units if necessary;
  • Ensure that the production is cost effective by minimising wastage etc;

EMPLOYEES

  • Inform management of any underutilised labour and ensure their time is efficiently utilised elsewhere;
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers;
  • Inform management of any employee issues and if any discipline procedures are necessary;
  • Sit in and assist with disciplinary procedures of any production employee;
  • Identify training needs;

GENERAL

  • Work with management to implement the Company policies and goals;
  • Ensure the workshop is kept in a neat and tidy condition at all times;
  • Enforce a clean up time for the last 10 minutes of the day;
  • Perform spot checks in bay areas daily, ensuring tool boxes are complete and the area tidy;
  • Any other tasks assigned to you.
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must have a B drivers licence,EC,EB, EC 1 would be preffered.
