Our client is looking for a production supervisor that has excellent multitasking abilities. The production supervisor is responsible for increasing productivity with innovative methods and motivating staff to perform better.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures
  • Responsible to meet shift production goals and quality standards
  • Responsible for quality control and sample testing
  • Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce products within specifications.
  • Ensure samples are taken to be tested
  • Assist in production as necessary
  • Coordinate production startups, shutdowns and changeovers
  • Operate within standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that workplace safety standards are met and that appropriate safety clothes, shoes, hearing protection are used, etc
  • Complete shift paper work accurately and timeously
  • Train and coach production line employees continuously according to standard operating procedures
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that flow of production is maintained.
  • Communicate daily with other shift supervisors and Plant Managers
  • Schedule and conduct shift meetings (Tool box talks)
  • Ensure a clean and safe work area
  • Ensure that a proper handover is done between shift supervisors
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations,

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
years relevant experience in supervisory management in food manufacturing preferably.

  • Computer literate.

Salary:
From R10,000.00 per month
