A full time Sales position is available, based in Midrand Johannesburg, for an individual well experienced in the Sales of Hardware, Building and Plumbing Materials.

The Sales of Hardware, Building and Plumbing Materials is a new addition to the business and requires an individual with extensive knowledge and experience of the industry.


Key Performance Outputs

  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare sales forecasts reports for management review.
  • Analyse sales data and prepare reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and market developments.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to network and generate leads.
  • Identify and target potential hardware retailers to expand our customer base through proactive prospecting and cold calling efforts.
  • Visit clients to show and demonstrate products.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets.
  • Follow up on sales leads.
  • Build and maintain sound business relationships with clients.
  • Presentations to clients.
  • Prepare quotations for clients.
  • Monitor / track the delivery of orders to customers and ensure that orders are delivered on time.

Technical Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in sales of hardware tools, building and plumbing materials.
  • Must have a well established network of contacts in the industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness, ability to travel as needed. Please note that during the first two years there will be extensive travel as the successful applicant builds up clientele.
  • Highly motivated and handson attitude.

Pay:
R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month

Experience:

  • Hardware Tools, Building and
Plumbing Materials Sales: 5 years (preferred)
