Dispatch Operations Clerk

Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:
Verify load sheets given by the Dispatch Clerks, ensuring cargoes match the system quantity and description
Populate electronic delivery notes and manifests as per load sheet
Ensure HAZ loads are processed correctly and required hazardous documentation accompanies the load and driver ie: TREM Cards, DGD's and Placards.
Query any items which do not tie up and obtain confirmation of any discrepancies noted. This includes physically verifying the cargo loaded if need be.
Ensure delivery addresses are in line with clerks load sheet and dispatch plan
Ensure seals allocated to all high value loads.
Matric
Excellent command of the English language
The ability to multi-task and work under pressure
The ability to follow specific instructions and guidelines and follow customer specific requirements per load and per documentation batch
Think out of the box and identify problems and take the initiative to investigate and solve queries with the assistance of your Supervisor when needed
The ability to work independently and prioritize workload
Strong ability to pay attention to detail and focus amongst a busy environment
Minimum 2 years experience in a Dispatch Clerk function
Good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
Good understanding of a WMS system is essential
Ability to work shifts - Day shift and night shift
Available to work weekends as and when required
Availability to stand in for clerks or other admin shifts when required.
