Part of the IAS (International Assignee Services) which manages the Group's expatriate population globally, consisting of medical and security professionals and managerial employees.


IAS supports our business strategy by recruiting, deploying and managing all HR aspects of our globally mobile medical professional and management staff.


Over-all Purpose of the Position
The position of Recruitment Specialist is responsible for providing the relevant Medical Services region with efficient recruitment support. They will also be involved in the shortlisting, pre-selection, presentation to the business and general end-to-end recruitment as required by the business for the purpose of staffing medical vacancies across the Africa region and providing wider support as required

  • Working with the Head of Recruitment, Regional Recruitment Manager, Regional Partners and Regional Business to understand the needs of the region.
  • Establish a proactive and professional relationship with all hiring managers to ensure the recruitment process is effectively delivered.
  • Deliver recruitment to the business for both short
- and long-term opportunities across numerous regions.

  • Responsible for the data integrity of the database and systems updates
  • Assist with arranging interview screenings with the relevant Medical Director.
  • Assist in the compilation of reporting for monthly statistics as requested.
  • Maintain an effective knowledge of medical terminology, practices, and market trends.
  • Perform checks to ensure all qualifications, documents and medical Fit to Work certifications are in place before raising a contract with the HR Operations team.
  • Collect relevant onboarding documents and work with SLOs for seamless mobilization of new employees
  • To work within and promote all International SOS's policies, procedures, and corporate values.
  • To be aware of International SOS' OH&S policies, practices, and procedures, actively participate in the ongoing development and enhancement of these important areas of our business.
  • Undertaking project work or reasonable duties as requested by their line manager.

Required Work Experience

  • Demonstrated experience balancing and delivering sourcing/manpower priorities.
  • Experience of working with high level stakeholders and managing time and expectations.
  • Ideally previous recruitment experience gained within the oil, gas, mining, or health care sectors.
  • Knowledge of Global Mobility and overseas onboarding
  • Working knowledge of MS Word. MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint

Required Qualifications

  • A degree in Human Resources Management (or equivalent) or minimum 5 years' experience in the HR/Recruitment/Talent Acquisition space.
