Head of Finance & Commercial Management - Asset Finance

Exciting opportunity for a dynamic and strategic leader at a Niche Bank. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing finance, accounting, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting aspects for Asset Finance (Capital Equipment Finance - CEF). Responsibilities also include managing regulatory and tax functions and providing valuable input into the overall business strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understanding financial, regulatory, and compliance requirements of CEF.
  • Ensuring accurate and complete financial records and Internal Financial controls.
  • Managing internal and external audit processes.
  • Consolidating business and Group reporting presentations of financial results to Manco, Business Banking, and Group.
  • Representing the business on governance forums.
  • Collaborating closely with Business Banking Finance Team and Group Finance structures.
  • Participating in key decisions related to strategic initiatives, operating plans, and execution.
  • Supporting Head of Capital Equipment Finance and monitoring cost of funding structure.
  • Managing and consolidating budget and forecasting processes.
  • Overseeing tax affairs of the Asset Finance division (CEF).
  • Participating in the implementation of strategic business plans.
  • Monitoring key performance measures supporting strategic direction.
  • Overseeing preparation of consolidated financial information for Asset Finance (CEF).
  • Overseeing and governing the General Ledger and Reporting Tools for financial results.
  • Reviewing and approving monthly management accounts.
  • Preparing statutory reporting and Annual Financial Statements.
  • Preparing group reporting, half-year, and year-end results.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements and tax returns.
  • Providing strategic guidance to Head of Asset Finance on corporate actions.
  • Monitoring liquidity and solvency of the business unit.
  • Implementing and evaluating internal controls.
  • Additional key duties to be discussed during the interview.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified CA.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in Financial Management in Asset Finance.
