How You'll Contribute

  • As a Compliance Director, you will build and manage a team of compliance professionals responsible for helping Business Units fulfill their compliance responsibilities while achieving their business goals. You will ensure that the Compliance team provides timely, proactive advice, monitoring and independent oversight of TransUnion's compliance with many regulatory requirements. Together with the team and the Business Units we support, we work to reduce regulatory risk, protect TransUnion's reputation, and help TransUnion succeed. Reporting to a senior Compliance leader, you will ensure that Compliance team members you manage are advisors, problem solvers, communicators, and risk managers.
  • Practical experience managing a compliance function or other risk management discipline,
- any issues arising from monitoring reports

  • Present recommendations and findings to senior leaders that may affect one or more business such as audit, examination, fraud examination, quality control, quality assurance, training, credit risk, information security, data analysis, risk analysis
  • Perform complex monitoring reviews
  • Provide advice and guidance to the business on necessary actions to achieve regulatory compliance, addressing unit operations
  • Contribute to reports and presentations concerning the operation and progress of the Company's compliance efforts; develop and periodically provide compliance program and company leadership with meaningful program effectiveness metrics
  • Maintain current knowledge of compliance best practices, recent enforcement activities within the industry and similar industries, and information published by applicable government agencies
  • Guide the successful completion of major programs that impact crossfunctional team
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Impact You'll Make:

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, economics, business management, statistics, computer science, prelaw or other related field (An equivalent combination of education and prior work experience)
  • Minimum 10 years professional work experience working within a processoriented environment and have a good understanding of how a business operates across a range of functions
  • Certification, or willingness to seek certification, as a qualified compliance professional (e.g. Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), via the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE)) or other relevant professional certification
  • Practical experience developing and implementing a monitoring program and managing a monitoring or other compliance function or other risk management discipline, such as audit, examination, fraud examination, quality control, quality assurance, training, credit risk, information security, data analysis, risk analysis
  • A need for limited supervision; need little or no instructions on routine work and general instructions on new lines of work or special assignments
  • The ability to build and foster relationships, and become a trusted business partner, with senior leaders of the organization through excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills and recognized expertise
