  • Product Manager:
  • Identify market opportunities and develop product strategies: Product managers closely analyze market trends, consumer needs, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities. They formulate product strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
  • Conduct market research: They gather insights through market research, customer feedback, and data analysis to understand customer preferences, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
  • Develop product roadmaps: Product managers create and maintain product roadmaps that outline the vision, goals, features, and timelines for the product's development and launch.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams: They work closely with teams such as research and development, design, marketing, and sales to ensure effective product development, pricing, positioning, and promotion.
  • Monitor product performance: Product managers track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to assess product performance and identify areas for improvement or growth.
  • Manage product life cycle: They oversee the entire life cycle of the product, from ideation to retirement, ensuring its success and profitability.

Planner:

  • Demand forecasting and inventory management: Planners analyze historical sales data, market trends, and other factors to forecast demand accurately. Based on these forecasts, they plan inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Supply chain coordination: Planners collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and logistics to ensure smooth and timely product availability while optimizing costs and minimizing stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Sales and operations planning: They develop and execute sales and operations plans, aligning production and inventory strategies with sales forecasts and marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor and adjust plans: Planners continuously monitor demand, sales, and supply chain performance, making necessary adjustments to plans and strategies to meet changing market conditions.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams: They work closely with product managers, sales teams, procurement, and logistics to ensure effective communication, coordination, and execution of plans.

Product Life Cycle Specialist:

  • Product life cycle management: Specialists oversee the entire life cycle of FMCG products, from launch to obsolescence. They coordinate activities and decisions related to product design, pricing, distribution, and marketing strategies at each stage.
  • Market analysis and segmentation: They analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify target market segments, develop positioning strategies, and optimize product offerings.
  • New product development: Specialists contribute to the development of new products, conducting market research, coordinating crossfunctional teams, and ensuring timely execution of product launches.
  • Pricing and profitability analysis: They assess pricing strategies, conduct pricing research, analyze cost structures, and monitor product profitability throughout its life cycle.
  • Product performance evaluation: Specialists monitor sales data, customer feedback, and market dynamics to evaluate product performance, identify growth opportunities, and recommend adjustments to marketing and sales strategies.
  • Collaboration and communication: They collaborate with various internal teams, such as marketing, sales, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and effective execution of product strategies.
