  • Manage Quantitative Analytics and Modelling team (3+ team members)
  • Oversee the building of models required for the business.
  • To guide business, including financial decisions. To interact with Exco members to have business impact.
  • Perform analysis for business to give them a better understanding of relevant data/trends/behaviour
  • Understand general commercial principles so that sound and well designed models can be built
  • Proactive in suggesting for opportunities as well as making analytical observations on any aspect that would be beneficial to business
  • Ability to understand requirements from business and have a good understanding of business in general.
  • Ability to do trend analyses, sensitivity analyses and build scenarios.
  • Able to understand interrelatedness of numbers within a model.
  • Ability to sense check figures and model assumptions timeously.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage growth and development of team members.
  • Mathematical/Analytical/Actuarial B.Sc. degree or B.

Com degree with:

  • 5+ years' experience in an analytical and/or modelling position
  • Management experience
  • Data science and big data knowledge preferable
  • Good communication skills
  • Quantitative and analytical skills
  • Financial modelling skills
  • SAS programming preferable
  • Good interpretation skills
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
