We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Manager to join our team at FirstRand Bank Limited. As a key member of our credit risk analytics team, you will be responsible for implementing Analytics standards in allocated business units, contributing to the monetisation of data through the development and delivery of advanced mathematical models and business principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver advanced mathematical models and business principles to find hidden patterns and associations in data.
  • Work with big data to transform data to be suited for modelling or other analytical insights.
  • Monitor and optimise existing models to ensure they are aligned with business strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in credit risk analytics.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualification: B Degree in Mathematical Sciences, Statistics, Actuarial Science.
  • Preferred Qualification: Honours Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a credit risk analytics environment.
  • Minimum 2 years Managerial work experience within Data Analytics.
