The Assistant Maintenance Manager will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance department and ensure all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities will include supervising the maintenance team, scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities, implementing maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing budgets, and collaborating with other departments to optimize production processes.
Responsibilities- Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the maintenance department and ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to optimize production uptime.
- Implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, implementing appropriate measures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage budgets and costs associated with maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within the packaging industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance processes and equipment.
- Understanding of safety standards within the packaging industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
