OVERALL PURPOSE

We're looking for a Senior Credit Analyst to join our Credit Underwriting team, where you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing our credit approval process.

As a Credit Team Lead at Lulalend, your role will involve:

  • Collaboration and continuous improvement: Work closely with the credit management team to maintain and enhance high-quality decision-making processes, with a focus on improving overall portfolio performance.
  • Training Support: Identify training gaps among analysts and work with the credit management team to address these gaps effectively.
  • Multitasking: Exhibit the ability to handle various adhoc tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Customer-Centric: Generate innovative ideas and solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring their satisfaction while adhering to credit metrics.
  • Credit Lifecycle Expertise: Demonstrate a solid understanding of the credit lifecycle, including collection processes.
  • Risk Assessment: Provide insights on credit risk and make recommendations for credit improvements, always seeking solutions.
  • Process Enhancement: Continuously explore ways to streamline and expedite the approval process while maintaining strong credit quality.
  • Platform Proficiency: Develop a deep understanding of our lending platform to ensure effective decisionmaking.
  • Tech Savvy: Stay updated on the latest technology developments and technical issues affecting credit decisions.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
To excel in the role of Credit Team Lead at Lula, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Matric/ grade 12 achieved
  • Educational Background: A solid finance or business degree is preferable
  • Relevant Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Credit Analyst or similar position, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Target Achievement: A proven track record of consistently meeting and surpassing targets, demonstrating your ability to deliver results.
  • Mentorship: Previous experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members, showcasing your leadership and coaching abilities.
