We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior Service Desk Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of ICT concepts and a passion for technology. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of ICT services and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for firstlevel support, addressing client issues with hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring a reliable resolution process.
  • Own incident management, providing assurance and consistent communication to clients throughout issue resolution.
  • Manage the installation, configuration, and regular maintenance of IT systems.
  • Engage in the deployment of new technological solutions, both hardware and software.
  • Collaborate effectively on a variety of IT projects within the team.
  • Develop and update documentation pertinent to our clients' ICT environments.
  • Continuously acquire knowledge and adapt to emerging technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • At least one formal ITrelated qualification is required (e.g., diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or certifications such as CompTIA A+ or N+).
Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of one year's experience in a similar IT support role.
  • High emotional intelligence, excellent soft skills, and aboveaverage written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Fundamental understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 services (including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Strong problemsolving capabilities and a teamoriented work ethic.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues, along with a clientfacing, presentable demeanor.
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and progress within the IT field.
  • Must possess own transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Fluent in both Afrikaans and English, with strong bilingual communication skills.
  • Effective time management and a genuine passion for technology.

This is a full-time permanent position.

Working hours Monday-Friday 08h00 - 17h00.

Overtime and work over weekends are an exception, but can be required.

Office based position, situated in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

Salary:
R R12 000 depending on experience.
