Our business product offering has grown significantly over the years, with partnerships formed with Santam, MiWay, Old Mutual, Merx, Hollard, Telesure Group Holdings, Merx Underwriting managers, IUM, and more, which has led to the development of ALJ Insurance Brokers.


The incumbent of this position will be responsible for growing and developing the business insurance portfolio by building a book of short-term commercial insurance.

The individual will sell Commercial Lines by prospecting and canvassing for new business sales.

Qualifications

General:

  • Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate
  • Must have your own reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access to the vehicle.
  • Valid code B driver's license
  • 3 years of external sales experience in a facetoface selling environment
  • Experience in lead generation, cold calling, relationship management and opening doors.
  • FAIS: Financial Advice Giving Role
  • Skillset: BROKER CONSULTANT

Should you have previous experience as a FAIS representative the following is non-negotiable:

  • FAIS credits/Full Insurance Qualifications (depending on DOFA)
  • RE5 (depending on DOFA)

The broker will report directly to the ALJ Commercial Broker Manager and will work closely with the wider Commercial team.
