The **Senior People Partner** plays a crucial role in steering the people strategy and supporting business objectives across various business units. This position demands a strategic mind to ensure the presence of essential talent attraction, onboarding, development, management strategies, programs, interventions that drive sustainable business outcomes. Reporting directly to the **Chief People Officer**, the **Senior People Partner** also oversees a team of junior professionals and graduates.

Strategy Implementation

  • Design and deliver an integrated HR strategy aligned with business and HR priorities.
  • Provide support to the CPO in executing business objectives and strategies.
  • Implement processes tied to an Integrated Employee Value Model fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Lead, communicate, and monitor the implementation of various HR initiatives.

Development and Delivery of Process

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate policy and process changes within the company.
  • Develop common-core business processes to support HR activities.
  • Review, revise processes in collaboration with senior staff.
  • Manage day-to-day HR functions including administration, policy review, recruitment, talent management, and organizational development.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver effective HR solutions to meet change objectives.
  • Provide expertise, knowledge, and HR advisory support.
  • Partner with the business to address Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Identify and escalate potential risks to the CPO.

Talent & Performance Management

  • Engage with the business to plan capability and capacity requirements.
  • Maintain a selection strategy for high-caliber talent.
  • Manage selection, recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
  • Facilitate Talent Review Forums and champion Performance Management.
  • Support leadership team development and training initiatives.

Learning and Development

  • Identify training needs based on operational requirements.
  • Develop competency profiles and conduct skills assessments.
  • Manage training programs and skills development initiatives.
  • Introduce leadership and managerial development programs.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Provide accurate HR reporting and analysis.
  • Identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure timely delivery of HR reports.

People Management

  • Mentor, develop, and manage staff under supervision.
  • Ensure efficient knowledge management for continuous improvement.
  • Recognize and reward high-performing members.

Employee Relations

  • Provide Employment law Education and manage internal cases.
  • Handle Labour Tribunal Case management and advisory services.
  • Advise on Grievance management, Retrenchment & Redundancy, and Conditions of Employment.
  • Ensure legal compliance with ER records.

Compliance & Governance

  • Adhere to regulatory and business practices.
  • Submit annual regulatory reports.
  • Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion objectives.
  • Manage HR Audit exceptions and risk resolution.

Employee Wellness

  • Provide practical and emotional support for personal and work-related challenges.
  • Manage HIV support, Life management services, and Wellness Day projects.

Budget Management

  • Manage budgets for HR projects.
  • Forecast current and future HR-related costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic HR Business Partner role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of driving HR initiatives and delivering results.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and teamwork skills.
