Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage the school's IT infrastructure to ensure that the availability, capacity and performance levels are sufficient to support the teaching and learning, management and administration objectives of the school.
  • Monitor the use of hardware and software and ensure that all software is licensed.
  • Responsible for the school's IT budget.
  • Implement a regular maintenance and upgrade program, ensuring appropriate 'housekeeping' tasks are completed.
  • Provide support and guidance to pupils and staff in the use of IT.
  • Maintain a database of all IT equipment
    .
  • Set up laptops/computers for new staff.
  • Deal with helpdesk queries for all staff relating to PCs, laptops, printers, projectors, iPads, smart boards etc.
  • Manage the printers in terms of ordering toner and calling technicians for support.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 or higher, macOS, ChromeOS, Linux, Android and iOS operating systems as well as various software packages including Pastel Partner, Google Suite.
  • Networking and network administration experience.
  • Server administration experience.
  • Excellent IT skills and computer literacy.
  • Previous experience within a customer service role.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with nontechnical staff at all levels in the School

Salary:
R15, R22,000.00 per month
