_Job Specification_
The role revolves around business development (sales) and relationship management of their investment solutions and platform proposition
Focus on Private Clients resident in South Africa
Primary aim is to focus on all aspects of business development to grow the firms assets under management and under custody
Knowledge and experience of working with Private Clients, notably high net-worth individuals and wealthy families
A good understanding, albeit not expert knowledge, of exchange control and the use of structures for offshore investing
Strong desire to onboard new clients, with the ability to travel regionally as required
Knowledge and experience of working with trusted advisers to Private Clients and their businesses including accountancy firms, legal practices, and trust companies
Experience in international markets is preferable
5-10 years sales/relationship management experience, with proven track record of growing assets under management
Develop new business opportunities on a targeted approach consistent with our clients capabilities
Manage new business opportunities to closure
As directed by Management, taking over existing Private Client relationships, and ensuring these clients receive responsive service and the highest level of care that is core to our clients promise
Develop detailed knowledge of our clients investment solutions (across all assets classes) and platform proposition
Develop and assist in expanding market awareness of our clients brand, and investment solutions by developing/enhancing marketing material, attending various conference events, generating promotional opportunities, and other relevant activities
Being an active member of the national Relationship and Business Development team to ensure cross pollination of ideas and collaboration on opportunities
Working closely with, and as directed by the Management, to support the overall development of our clients stated strategic objectives
Participating in regular "Pipeline Review" and general business strategy meetings
Such other activities that are commensurate with a Relationship Manager status as managers or the Board of the Company may reasonably require

_Minimum Requirements_

Degree level:
professional qualifications in investments and/or finance/accounting
Knowledge about international investing
Positive, self-motivated individual, who is articulate, a good communicator, responsive, and well organised
Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining client centric at all time
Knowledge of, and the ability to adopt best practices in terms of sales and relationship management
In addition to the above prerequisites, a general understanding of relevant industry trends, regulatory (AML/KYC) requirements, and competitor propositions
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in MS Word MS PowerPoint, and Excel
Able to engage with captains of industry, and potentially highly demanding clients
Deal with clients affairs with due discretion and confidentiality
