WE ARE HIRING
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join our team. The Manufacturing Manager will oversee all aspects of production within the carpentry factory. They will be responsible for coordinating manufacturing processes, managing staff, ensuring quality control, and optimizing production efficiency. Our projects often run through nights and weekends, so a flexible schedule is required.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver's license & own reliable transportation.
  • Computer literate.
  • Own cell phone.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or related field.
  • 5 Years Minimum experience in a manufacturing or production management role, preferably in the carpentry industry.
  • Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with sales and procurement teams to ensure adequate materials are available for production.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Quality Control

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise production staff, including carpenters, machine operators, and assembly line workers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and productivity.

Quality Control:

  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet company standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of products and processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

4.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products.
  • Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels and prevent shortages.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste.

5.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement measures to minimize workplace hazards.
  • Provide training to staff on safe working practices and emergency procedures.

6.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
  • Encourage innovation and creativity among staff to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

7.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Communicate production goals, schedules, and performance metrics to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular reports on production output, efficiency, and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and sales, to address crossfunctional issues and opportunities.
