MARKETING SUPPORT INTERN (REMOTE)

Bergstedt Media is seeking a
Marketing Support Intern to join our marketing/advertising team. A small digital agency based in Cape Town, South Africa.


This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing.


Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management:_
  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to promote the client's services or products.
  • Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter).
  • Analyse social media metrics and contribute to ongoing optimisation efforts.
  • Content Creation:_
  • Create compelling and visually appealing content, including graphics, images, videos, and written posts, for social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to gather information and create content.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the agency's brand guidelines and reflects a professional and engaging tone.
  • Marketing Campaign Support:_
  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct research on target audiences and contribute to the development of marketing personas.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide insights for improvement.
  • Analytics and Reporting:_
  • Monitor social media analytics and generate regular reports on key metrics, including reach, clicks, and conversions.
  • Provide recommendations based on data insights to optimise social media and marketing strategies.
  • Assist in tracking website analytics and contribute to SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) efforts.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree, program or recent graduate in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
  • Google Ads certificates are advantageous.
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools and software, such as graphic design tools, video editing software, and social media scheduling platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content ideas.
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools (e.g. Google Analytics, social media analytics).
  • Have a reliable internet connection at home.
