Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair various instrumentation equipment used in the mining industry.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in instruments, control systems, and communication networks.
  • Calibrate and test instruments to ensure accurate measurement and proper functionality.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for instrument maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize instrument performance and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all instrument technician activities.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in the mining or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of instrument calibration, repair, and maintenance techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team setting.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety protocols.
  • Flexibility to work in a fastpaced, dynamic, and sometimes challenging mining environment.
