Instrument Technician

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our client's team in the Mining industry in North West. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of instruments and control systems used in the mining industry. **Responsibilities**:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain various types of instruments and control systems used in mining operations.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on instruments to ensure proper functioning.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instrumentation and control systems.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty instruments and components.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify and resolve technical problems.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations while performing all job tasks.
**Requirements**:
- National Diploma in Electrical Process Instrumentation & Control
- Instrument Mechanician Trade Test Certificate
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Instrument Technician in the mining industry
- Knowledge of Industrial Control Networks
- Knowledge of various types of instruments used in mining operations.
- Experience in calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instruments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Valid drivers license
