CORE PURPOSE:
Provide effective support and co-ordination to the procurement team by following up on expected deliveries.

KEY OUTPUTS

  • Daily follow up with suppliers on back orders.
  • Communicate changes in schedules and respond to order status updates.
  • Maintain and update records of daily receipts.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping of all equipment received.
  • Maintain a friendly professional relationship with suppliers and distributors to ensure the
business is valued as a priority.

  • Provide effective support and coordination to the procurement team by following up on
expected deliveries.

  • Serve as focal point for the communication, maintenance and update of supplier delivery
commitments noted in the contract/purchase order as negotiated by the Buyer.

  • Verify the supplier/contractor reported progress and ability to meet delivery obligations.
  • Identify potential problems and further actions.
  • Maintain a clear and open line of communication with all parties.
  • Purchasing COD processes.
  • Capturing of requisitions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 1
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering,
Production and process improvement would be an advantage.

  • Accounting background will be an advantage.

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software, inventory management tools and accounting
  • Excellent time management skills
