OPERATIONAL LOGISTICS SPECIALIST for a Catering Equipment company based in Johannesburg to ensure, maintain, and enhance current company supply chain processes and systems.


Duties and Requirements:

  • Plan, direct, or coordinate the transportation, storage, or distribution of goods and services.
  • Develop forecasting plans to maintain enough inventory.
  • Verify goods reach their destination in a timely manner.
  • Establish priorities, track assignments, and ensure availability of resources.
  • Maintain schedules and deadlines.
  • Comply with standards and shipping regulations.
  • Supply Chain Operations.
  • Logistics Management.
  • Strategic Sourcing.
  • Forecasting.
  • Work with internal departments to ensure customer needs are fulfilled.
  • Assist with procurement and inventory control.
  • Optimize inventory performance via trend forecasting.
  • Ensure vendor information is correct.
  • Maintain and process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Imports/Exports knowledge
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics and or Supply Chain
  • 5 years' experience in supply chain and logistics
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Computer literate in all Office Programs.
  • Excellent Excel and Systems experience
  • Excellent problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
