The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and digitally focused Account Director with a strong strategic eye and a love for digitally led creative to join our agency team in Johannesburg.


Job Description:

Scope of the role:
Champion

  • Ensure delivery of projects against agreed timelines and milestones of development and execution plan.
  • Perform daytoday tasks to ensure integrated campaigns are delivered in partnership with multiple agency stakeholders, ensuring that our campaigns work across all digital touchpoints.
  • Identify potential risks of a project and communicate this to the Group Account Director to prevent project milestones being missed or budgets being negatively impacted
  • Actively pursue opportunities to learn and grow within the portfolio
  • Living shared values and core behaviours of Publicis Groupe.
  • Maintain excellent intercompany and interdepartmental communication and knowledge transfer
Growth and Profitability

  • Assist the team in identifying and maintaining opportunities for optimization and harmonisation / integration of the various departments and Publicis Groupe agencies.
  • Maintain efficiencies, economies of scale & resource optimisation, ensuring jobs are delivered according to the agreed timings
Talent

  • Strive to learn and grow, proactively seek opportunities and become involved in projects outside of allocated tasks
Operational Excellence

  • Implement, monitor and manage the workflow process as tasked, escalating to the Group Account Director where necessary
  • Proactively manage of all project timelines, always ensuring on time and in full delivery of projects
  • Monitor standards by checking all work is on the brief and to the desired quality of level before sending it to client
  • Assist to optimise internal resource allocation and utilisation
  • Solid writing, communication and presenting skills in English (a good command of the English language)
  • Implement and manage digital and social campaigns, with specific emphasis on managing tight timings and deadlines.
  • Develop digital project plans, with effective and timeous delivery from concept to execution.
  • Work alongside creative, strategy, media, digital development and data teams; managing multiple campaigns at the same time.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry qualification (i.e. Advertising / Marketing / Business Management)
  • At least 6 years' working experience in an Agency
  • At least 2 years' working experience as an Account Director
  • Experience in Digital campaign delivery across all digital channels
  • Strong experience in production, understanding the process and requirements to take a shoot from concept to delivery through the entire preproduction, production and postproduction ecosystem.
  • A good command of the English language (both written and verbal)
  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc.)
  • Proficient in use of Chase Software for financial tracking
  • Proficient in conflict management, ensuring you are able to communicate clearly and respectfully
