Description:

  • This is an excellent opportunity to head up the Export division of a group of companies which include a world renowned vineyard/winery.
  • The Head of Exports will manage business relationships with the agents, importers and distributors of 3 brands in all international markets, outside of the continent of Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. The incumbent will do so, maximising the profit contribution of each export relationship separately, and of all exports collectively, in full alignment with the business strategy as well as the brand strategies of the three individual brands.

  • Criteria:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration or similar
  • 8 years of experience gained in managing international business relationships, the export of premium wine, as well as a
thorough understanding of the SA wine category's positioning in international markets.

  • Good computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), whilst Microsoft Power BI user experience will be advantageous
  • Global sales relationship management skills across markets
  • Excellent commercial competence
  • An excellent understanding of brands, customer, and consumer marketing in international markets
  • A strong understanding of international logistics and pricing
  • Strong communication, relationship, and networking skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Sound negotiating, analytical and strategic thinking skills
