Portfolio Manager of Sectional Title Complexes

POSITION - PORTFOLIO MANAGER AT MANAGING AGENTS' COMPANY
We are a leading property management agency, managing residential properties across most areas of Cape Town. We offer full-service Sectional Title / Body Corporate and Homeowners Association property management services. A strong focus on accurate financial management, superb maintenance coordination and governance excellence underpins our property management services.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with insurance claims on behalf of the complexes and in liaison with the Trustees.
  • Ensuring that compliant contractors are servicing the complexes and liaise between Trustees and contractors.
  • Ensuring all complex documents are archived as well as correctly filed within the company database (online and hard copy).
  • Preparation of meetings in line with the Sectional Titles Management Act and compliance with usage of documentation and notices as approved by CSOS.
  • Continuous liaison and guidance to trustees and directors in relation to complex matters, financial & maintenance reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance of statutory requirements for all complexes.
  • Management of portfolio and any additional instructions.

Minimum Qualifications required by the position:

  • Matric.
  • Tertiary qualification would be advantageous.

Minimum requirements for the position:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in property management, specifically sectional title management and familiar with the Sectional Titles Management Act, as well as Acts on Community Living and CSOS.
  • Understanding of maintenance terminology in within the field of property management.
  • Understanding of financial terminology in within the field of property management.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Excel, Outlook Express & WeConnectU).
  • Fast, accurate typing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both English and Afrikaans.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Must have dedication and an excellent sense of customer service.
  • Driver's license and reliable transport.
  • Dedication, loyalty, reliability and top organisational skills.
  • Competent and professional.
  • Ability to work closely in a team.
  • Organised and neat.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple queries based on the nature of the work.
