The IIE Varsity College, Cape Town Campus is seeking a Lecturer: Accounting (Part-Time) for the following module:

  • Accounting

Job Purpose:

  • Lecture using provided content, guide and support students in their learning, assess student submissions, and participate in campus teaching and learning activities.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Prepare and deliver lectures based on provided content, supplement with personal expertise, assess student work, provide feedback, handle academic administration tasks, and engage in professional development opportunities.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant OR
  • Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) OR
  • Honours/post-graduate qualification in Financial Accounting
Alternatively:
  • Honours in a Financial Management field (such as Tax or Accounting) with Financial Accounting to the third-year level OR NQF level 9 qualification in Financial Accounting.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • Previous lecturing experience in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing, or Taxation is advantageous.
  • Completed training contract at a registered firm of Chartered Accountants.
  • Experience in 2nd level Financial Accounting lecturing at a 3rd level.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is for an Independent Contractor.
  • Due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
  • Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent Residents of South Africa residing in Cape Town.
