Job Advert Summary:


We have an exciting opportunity for a driven, people-oriented, and innovative individual within our new Toyota Branch in Somerset West.

The host/hostess will be responsible for receiving customers in a professional and friendly manner.

As frontline ambassador of the Brand, the Hostess needs to ensure that the initial contact of any new, regular or potential customer is handled in a courteous, pleasant and professional manner in an effort to consistently promote a positive image of the Brand and the dealership and ensure a delightful customer experience.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Passionate and enthusiastic about the motor industry


 Minimum Grade 1
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Digitally savvy, confident and competent (Social media, content creation, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Must be based in Somerset West or close proximity
  • High innovation and creative capacity

Duties and Responsibilities:

Enhancing Guest Experience

  • Greet and welcome guests to the dealership showroom
  • Provide a warm and friendly atmosphere for visitors
  • Assist customers with any questions or needs they may have
  • Coordinate with sales and service teams to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience
  • Maintain clean and organized common areas, including the showroom, waiting area, and restroom
  • Provide administrative support to sales and management teams
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Digitization duties

  • Monitor advertements and content displayed on screens in the dealership
  • Liaise with line managers on the changing of content according to a set content plan
  • Computer and digital literate and stay up to date with digital developments and trends
  • Awareness and control of background music, and creating an overall positive and harmonious atmosphere in the dealership

Reception and telephonic support

  • Assisting with telephonic duties where required
  • Ensure that messages are accurately recorded and passed on as soon as recipient is present or available
  • Maintain a schedule of whereabouts of all key personnel
  • Ensure that switchboard relief adheres to the prescribed answering method
  • Ensure that procedures are in place for receptionist relief (e.g. roster)
  • Alert management on any problems that may prevent the effective handling of the switchboard e.g. calls not being answered escalate to relevant manager if necessary
