Financial & Office Administrator Sandton.

Our Legal Client in Sandton Johannesburg is looking for a Finance & Office Administrator / Junior Accountant with 3 years plus experience from a Legal firm that will ensure the accurate administration of the practices' finances and transactions in accordance with requirements and best business practice.

Law Firm experience essential.
Reports to the Legal Firm Finance Operations.

Salary R Fixed Term Contract RequirementsGrade 12 with a Financial related tertiary qualification – essential3-4 years plus experience in Financial Administration / Accounts Payable2-3 Years' experience as a Junior Accountant – an added bonusLaw firm / Professional Services experience essentialBilling/E-billing Experience – an added bonusElite 3E – Law Firm Software – Experience an added bonusExcel AdvanceUnderstanding of legal bookkeeping best practice and overarching regulations and legislations ResponsibilitiesAssisting and cooperating with Auditors and other relevant stakeholders in audit processes, including client auditor's requests.

Prepare quarterly payment and prepare group monthly spend reportsInvoice AdministrationPreparing invoices for services rendered and disbursements paid, making sure that payment is received and recorded.

Payment Administration – prepare pay-overs, recording payments, import fees/paymentsOther Financial Administration – ensuring ledgers and accounting recordsReconciling client and ledger accountsCapture fees and disbursementReconciling bank accountsPreparing request and related paperwork to pay practice liabilitiesClosing off month end process.

Handle accounts queries of all relevant stakeholdersEffectively dealing with reconciliationCompany correspondent invoicesHandling accounts queries of all relevant stakeholders, including third parties (correspondents, sheriffs, counsel, tracers and consultants).
