Our customer is in search of a Sanitation Supervisor to join their crew. Taking charge and guiding the Sanitation team to guarantee compliance with Country regulations and our customer's Sanitation/Food Safety/Quality standards. Leading the management of sanitation associates, ensuring bakery equipment and facilities are kept clean and in compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily Housekeeping is done and pay special attention to detail cleaning.
  • Ensure Bakery is 100% clean before start-up - All equipment/areas are cleaned to standard.
  • Perform daily Detailed Plant inspection with Sanitation Service Provider before start-up.
  • Verify cleaning after deep cleans.
  • Develop & Maintain Master Sanitation Schedule Plan and Cleaning standard operation procedures.
  • Schedule all Sanitation associates and assign duties per Annual Master Cleaning Plan.
  • Review the effectiveness of Bakery Sanitation Program annually and provide continuous improvement for the program.
  • Create a safe working environment for sanitation associates, maintain chemical safety procedures, work on enhancing chemical training, and meet all Environmental, Health, and Safety program requirements.
  • Conduct monthly detailed sanitation zone inspections of the plant and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Handle all Regulatory and requested Inspections including AIB, 3rd Party Customer Audit, and GFSI etc.
  • Manage the Internal Cleaning and Sanitation Audit Program with Line Manager to ensure compliance with Sanitation Standards.
  • Initiate and execute cleaning verification and validation programs to prove effectiveness of Sanitation program.
  • Participate in Risk Assessment for various needs.
  • Recognize and correct pest control problems.
  • Maintain and update all required documentation.
  • Create and update SSOP's to ensure effectiveness and efficiency, including correct tools and approved chemicals, frequency required, and post sanitation checkpoints.
  • Evaluate cleaning sequence, tools, chemicals, and frequency to ensure adequacy and continuous improvements.
  • Assist with new associates' orientation.
  • Maintain assigned KPIs for sanitation department area.
  • Identify and evaluate optimization opportunities in cleaning activities.
  • Participate in plant inspections and meetings.
  • Control waste and pest related programs.
  • Manage contractors onsite and ensure compliance.
  • Perform adhoc tasks as requested by Management.

  • Stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Required PPE for bakery environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or related field.
  • 4 years in the food industry with 2 years of Sanitation Supervisor experience.
