The Head of talent acquisition is responsible for sourcing, attracting, acquiring and onboarding for our company. In this role, you will enhance and develop the organisation's ability to attract top talent from around the world. You will oversee the talent acquisition team and effectively partner with our hiring managers and other support staff.

Your role will be to create and execute on a sustainable talent attraction and acquisition tactical plan and process across the Mukuru Group and execute on and drive the end-to-end talent sourcing and attraction process.

The Head of Talent Acquisition will work closely with relevant business heads and the HC team, to understand Mukuru's objectives and construct plans and strategies to improve recruitment performance and create and implement talent strategies.


Accountabilities:

  • At a highlevel, your responsibilities as the Head of Talent Acquisition will include:
  • Working with Business Partners' and leaders to identifying Mukuru's talent needs and working to create and implement an efficient talent acquisition strategy to improve recruitment and business performance
  • Developing, managing and retaining a highly skilled, diverse team to assist with talent attraction, sourcing and acquisition.
  • Understanding workforce planning and resource and proactively feeding these into the talent sourcing and acquisition pipeline.
  • Communicating with external sources, i.e. peer organisations, service providers, talent sourcing originator to ensure the most appropriate solutions to enable the business.
  • Anticipating the organisations future talent need and working with managers to advise on sourcing, selection and acquisition tactics that will help to sustain Mukuru's success.
  • Managing and delivering reports and data when required
  • Onboarding new employees into the Mukuru family, including the management of the onboarding workflow to ensure employees have a positive experience, and are set up for success.
  • Own and drive talent sourcing, selecting and acquisition process, which will include the building of local and international talent sourcing pipelines
  • Enhance Mukuru's external brand through job portals, social media and by attending, organising and facilitating career fairs and other events
  • Conduct effective workforce forecasting, and reporting as is relevant and requested
  • Determine metrics to track and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the function

Minimum Required:

  • Minimum 710 years' experience in talent sourcing, selection and acquisition required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing a sourcing, attraction and acquisition team is a prerequisite
  • 57 years' experience in Financial services and FinTech is essential
  • 5 years international sourcing, selecting, acquiring experience in a Fintech is a prerequisite
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology and/or relevant Business qualification is essential

Skills/Experience:

  • To ensure success as a Head of Talent acquisition, you should be an experienced Human Capital expert with a keen understanding of practices and processes involved in acquiring and nurturing talent.
  • A topnotch Head of Talent acquisition will be an exceptional leader who leverages their knowledge and network to build the organisation's potential.
  • Indepth understanding and delivery of endtoend recruitment, sourcing and selection process, including understanding of Human Capital value chain dependencies
  • Familiarity with a variety of selection methods (competencybased interviewing, assignments, psychometric assessments for selection; technical selection batteries, digital and convention selection methodologies, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with posting jobs on social media platforms (including inter alia LinkedIn) and job boards, as well as relevant print media
  • Direct experience in delivering on talent mapping and proactive talent sourcing

Competencies Required:

  • Having commercial and analytical knowhow is required, as is having strong communication and leadership skills is important.
  • You are expected to be dependable, highly selfmotivated and creative and innovative in delivering outcomes
  • You must be strategic, influential and confident in building relationships across at all levels internal and external to the organisation.
  • You must have a bias for action, create structure and ensure efficient delivery that meets the business needs (goalorientated), within the required timelines
  • Drive and deliver on talent acquisition change programmes from both a strategic and operative level
  • A teamplayer, with excellent people skills, who is experienced in managing a talent sourcing, selecting and acquisition
  • Ability to be strategic and tactical when making decisions
  • You must have strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and networking skills
  • You need to implement workflows, SoP's, and metrics that will enable the measurement of outcom
