The Alistair Group Communications & Marketing Lead will be a graphically creative, dynamic and hard-working individual, with strong copywriting skills and exceptional attention to detail.

They will report to the Managing Directors working in collaboration with all service lines and support functions.

Working hours - Monday to Friday
(07:20 - 16:20) including alternate Saturdays (08:00 - 12:00)

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 35 years of working experience in B2B marketing with a focus on developing and executing internal and external corporate communication strategies, social media management, website governance, event and tradeshow coordination (internal and extra) and branding and merchandise management (ordering, stock taking, vendor relationships)
  • Experience in the logistics or transport industry is greatly beneficial (not a must)
  • Graphic Design skills are essential for a successful transition into this role.
  • Completed Degree (Business Management, Graphic Design, Marketing, related)
  • Advanced business communication skills enabling verbal and written communication as well as visualizations, at all levels of the organization.
  • The ability to analyse situations and arrive at the best possible solution.
  • The ability to understand business strategies as shared by the Directors and communicate, interpret and translate them across all levels effectively
  • The ability to conduct presentations at all levels in the organisation.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Canva, Photoshop etc
  • Have a strategic and creative mindset
  • Flexibility to work in various time zones as needed
  • The ability to adapt to different demands simultaneously, prioritizing tasks where appropriate and ensuring completion of tasks.
  • A strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, consistency, and quality. Keep the client's focus in mind where appropriate.
  • Ability to build productive work relationships in a virtual/physical environment.
  • A selfmanaged individual who can work to achieve objectives with minimum direction/supervision.
  • Must be a collaborative worker and able to remain productive and work effectively at all levels of the organization.

DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
COMMUNICATIONS (Internal and External)

  • Develop the strategy for the monthly internal newsletter sent out to employees
  • Work handinhand with HR to execution and approval the internal newsletter
  • Work handinhand with HR to develop communication strategies for employee engagement campaigns they wish to implement throughout the year.
  • Be solely responsible for the execution and design of all verbal or visual material needed for each campaign
  • Assist the directors in communicating (in a visually appealing manner) all company objectives and policies to all levels of the workforce (including bluecollar workers)
  • Develop topic ideas, write and distribute the monthly external newsletter (MailChimp)
  • Manage all public relations needs for the business (approve external articles, manage relationships with journalists and organise articles in industryrelated publications when needed)

EVENTS

  • Manage, book and organize all strategyrelated teambuilding events, annual conference
and or trade shows, sponsorships and relevant training

  • This includes sourcing and managing accommodation, travel itinerary, schedules, branding requirements and more.
BRANDING & MERCHANDISE

  • Manage procurement process of all promotional material, stationary & office branding (Banners, business cards, pamphlets, management and office staff uniform company profiles etc)
  • Control of branding and sign off on designs
  • Ensuring consistency of brand representation across all locations
  • Responsible for sourcing, ordering and delivering all client gifts throughout the year.
DESIGN & MEDIA

  • Organising and storing company media (photos and videos)
  • Creating new media (flyers, posters etc) and managing service providers (Photographer, videographer and freelance designer)
  • Updating all marketing materials (i.e. Company Profile, posters, giveaways)
  • Plan, design and execute all presentations to clients as per the brief provided by management

SOCIAL MEDIA AND WEBSITE GOVERNANCE

  • Manage the social media calendar (including industry and clientrelated holidays)
  • Actively updating and engaging on social media platforms on behalf of the Company (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram)
  • Community Management of all social media platforms
  • Manage website updates and SEOs and report on Google Analytics (WordPress/Divi)
  • Add articles to the website on a monthly basis
