We offer Pan-African creators digital tools to share, amplify and monetise their stories to a global audience of Pan-African women.


About You:

You must be extremely user-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment. Prior startup/entrepreneurial experience or experience building products or new features from scratch is a plus.

You will be a capable multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise your workload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy for AMAKA Studio in alignment with the business OKRs.
  • Lead the marketing team to design and execute innovative endtoend marketing campaigns that drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention across all channels, including our platform.
  • Build and scale the online community of women from Africa and across the diaspora.
  • Continuously evaluate marketing performance using metrics such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), conversion rates, and user retention to optimise campaigns and identify new opportunities.
  • Lead and managed the Social Media, Product Marketing, and Paid Marketing teams to deliver highquality marketing initiatives that result in user growth.
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure that the marketing strategy is aligned with product development and product launches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and agencies to drive the growth of the business.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Plan and execute marketing strategies for AMAKA content series, brand partnerships and new digital products.
  • Set, administer and manage AMAKA's annual marketing budget and marketing campaign costs.
  • Develop PR strategies for the AMAKA brand
  • Work closely with social media teams to develop influencer and creator campaigns,
  • Led the ideation of creative marketing campaigns and messaging for AMAKA content and brand partnerships

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a consumer tech marketing role, with a proven track record of driving growth.
  • Experience in B2C consumer internet apps, particularly in the African market, is a plus.
  • Strong experience in managing a team and working with crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to use data and metrics to make informed decisions and measure the success of marketing campaigns.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly creative individual who can think of unique ways to build a strong online community
  • Passion for Pan-African cultures and community building across Africa and the diaspora.

Experience:

  • 5 years marketing experience with 3 as a manager (preferred)
