Project Manager: Hiv Differentiated Models of Care

Main purpose of the job To provide technical assistance, facility-based quality improvement and mentoring to ensure provision of healthcare services for HIV Differentiated Management Of Care (DMOC).

To provide supervision of staff and provision of logistics and planning support for the related services. To monitor and report on the implementation of program activities with regards HIV Differentiated Management Of Care (DMOC). To provide liaison with internal and external stakeholders and support capacity-building activities for facility HIV services/activities.

Key performance areas - Support district Managers with coordination of successful design, implementation and strengthening of HIV Differentiated Management Of Care (DMOC) activities to ensure that the programmes meet set targets in accordance with national and PEPFAR standards. - Undertake continuous analysis of barriers to continuity of treatment and supporting the implementation of DMOC for TB/HIV clients. - Design, and implement activities that improve psychosocial support for clients diagnosed with HIV. - Provide support and guidance on HIV cascade program with the aim of improving adherence strategies and ensuring retention in care. - Keep abreast of changes in maternal and child health affecting programmes and ensure that all organizational policies, procedures and SOPS are updated accordingly. - Oversee, develop, review, and ensure implementation of maternal and child health programme policies, procedures and guidelines. - Excellent report writing and presentation skills. - Monitor performance and implementation of the WPs and develop action plan to control risks and address challenges aligned with guideline and document best practices. - Build capacity for quality improvement in DMOC programme through training, on-site coaching and support supervision. - Support the development of systems for continuous learning, quality improvement methods and tools.

Required minimum education, training, and technical support. - Relevant medical or nursing Degree/Diploma - Computer training course.

Professional body registration - Current Registration with relevant South African statutory professional body.

Minimum work experience - Minimum four years working experience public/private (NGO) sector experience, - Minimum four years working in middle or senior management role.
  • Minimum four years working experience providing management support for
HIV Differentiated Management Of Care (DMOC)
  • Minimum four years' experience in program planning, management, and
implementation, including experience with the provision of focused DMOC services.

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities - MBCHB - Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage. - Knowledge of HIV and, TB management - Knowledge of differentiated models of care - Knowledge of HIV guidelines and protocols - Excellent time management skills - Supervision and good group management skills - Good written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage and resolve conflict. - Facilitation skills and able to work independently. - Report writing and interpersonal skills. - Strong administrative and planning skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in English & isiXhosa - Professionalism, customer centered. - Ability to work under pressure and in a diverse environment. - Ability to work independently in a resource limited setting, as well as in a team environment. - Attention to detail. - Self-motivation with high regard for excellence, work ethic, values and integrity.
