Purpose of the Job_

A Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for the full Supply Chain Function. This includes stock control, inbound and outbound logistics, warehouse control, etc.

The Supply Chain Coordinator works closely with vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and other parties involved in the production of goods. Their job is to ensure that these companies meet all regulatory requirements before exporting their products. This includes making sure that proper safety standards are met, taxes have been paid, etc.

Key Performance Areas_

  • Inventory control and full warehousing function.
  • In and outbound Logistics.
  • Schedule shipments through freight carriers or via ocean freight or air freight depending on the item's destination.
  • Coordinate with customs agents to ensure that all documentation is in order prior to shipment.
  • Communicate with clients on shipping status and resolving any issues that may arise during shipping.
  • Maintain records of inventory, sales, and other business operations activities for the company
  • Prepare shipping orders or documentation for international or domestic shipments.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure that all materials are available for packaging or shipping.
  • Ensure that all shipments are properly insured and documented for transportation
  • Ensure all final Quality Control Checks are performed before loading and shipment.
  • Reconciliation of Export customer accounts.
  • Compliance to all Quality standards of the company.
  • Compliance all OHS standards as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Regular performance reviews of subordinates.
  • Monthly reporting in OPCO meetings.
  • Continuous improvement on current processes.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments.
