Purpose:


To be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to Optometrists and other healthcare professionals in the examination and treatment of patients.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Greet and welcome patients.
  • Schedule appointments and answer phone calls
  • Assist optometrist in providing eye care services.
  • Help patients select frames and lenses.
  • Maintain patient records and billing information.
  • Answer patient inquiries and provide advice.
  • Keep the clinic neat and tidy.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications:
Matric

Office Administration (NQF Level 3)

2-3 years' optometric experience/similar role

GoodX experience will be an added advantage.

Computer literacy (MS Packages, etc.)

Skills and Attributes:
Excellent customer service skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work accurately and efficiently.

Attention to detail.

Ability to work on own initiative.

Strong administrative and sales skills

Ability to work well as part of a team.
