Job Summary

The role of Change Lead is now open in the PCT team.

The main purpose of the job is to take responsibility for the delivery of various projects run in the Product Control team.

The role also requires the incumbent to play a pivotal role in the strategic vision formulation process for the Product Control team and the conceptualization of solutions that will achieve the desired results.

This role will report to the Head Product Control Transform & Reconciliations.

Job Description:

Accountability:
Delivery of PCG-driven infrastructure projects

  • Representing Product Control at all change forums to ensure that the needs of the department are properly considered and included in broader CIB initiatives.
  • Driving and influencing the change agenda in the broader CIB context
  • Being the one point of contact for the wider group as it relates to change in Product Control.
  • Leading of Product Control specific change initiatives to ensure that these initiatives are appropriately defined, prioritized, resourced and delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Ensuring all major projects have the optimal level of business sponsorship.
  • The removal of impediments to successful delivery of the project set by engaging with appropriate infrastructure department heads.
  • Ensuring the project set takes the firm in the direction dictated by the target operating model and the firm's strategic vision.
  • Indepth understanding of strategic initiatives in other areas of the firm that may impact the current or future book of work in the Product Control area.
  • Management of the Businessasusual book of work for the systems owned by Product Control.

Accountability:
Interaction with key stakeholders and relationship management

  • Interaction with various areas across the Absa Group in order to obtain an understanding of the impact these areas have on the Product Control target operating model.
  • Formulation and execution of formal and informal communication plans for all stakeholders relating to the project set.
  • Managing steering committee discussions.
  • Influencing stakeholders to gain acceptance of implementation ideas
  • Managing the relationship with the appropriate IT areas.

Education and Experience Required

  • NQF Level
  • Honours/Master's Degree
  • 6 or more years' experience, 2 of which are change related and a minimum of 4 year's business experience in an Investment Banking environment

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Investment Banking product knowledge (desired)
  • Excellent numeric ability
  • Excellent knowledge of financial markets
  • Knowledge of Bank regulation and ongoing developments
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills
  • Track record in people management

  • The ability to work in a pressured and unstructured environment and to cope with the demands of working to tight deadlines
