Purpose of the job:

Responsible for setting and enforcing the appropriate Quality standards.
and programs with all stakeholders (internal and external) in line with
the overall quality objectives of Premier FMCG. The Quality Controller
ensures that the quality standards are consistently achieved by engaging
with site HOD's and other role players. This includes supporting production
and maintenance to ensure they operate at set standards - accurately,
efficiently and effectively.

Qualification Requirements:

Qualifications:

At least a diploma in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or similar tertiary qualification.

  • FSSC 22000 certificate

Experience Requirements:

Experience:

  • 24 years' industry experience in the bakery and/or milling environment including food safety and quality control.
  • Chamber of Bakery experience advantageous

Other Requirements:

  • Availability after hours
  • Overtime work may be required.
  • Pressurized environment
  • 6day position
  • Will be required to work Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays

Key Outputs:

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement the Premier FMCG and site QC strategy and QC plans.
  • Leading site QA team towards world class quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to the site HOD's in relevant QC issues, through Internal Audits.
  • Monitor the QC Performance for the site.
  • Review, challenge and approve QC plans and procedures, to continuously improve the Food Safety System.
  • Maintain the FSSC 22000 accreditation conducted by 3rd party annually.
  • Provide adequate management information, based on consolidated reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality Regulations
  • Investigate, conduct root cause analysis, and provide feedback for all customer complaints.
  • Implement training matrix and conduct food safety training for all Bakery employees annually.
  • Conduct Monthly Micro Analysis
  • Raising of NCR's for all nonconformance's on Site.
  • Conducting weekly quality invocoms
