We are seeking a dynamic and talented Public Relations Officer to join our team.

As a Public Relations Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining the public image of our organization.

You will work closely with clients to understand their unique brand and personal awareness goals and develop effective strategies to achieve them.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to determine their brand identity, values, and public awareness goals.
  • Compile media inquiries and effectively manage crisis situations, including negative publicity and comments.
  • Plan, implement, and manage public relations programs to enhance brand reputation and visibility.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for PR events and initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Design and review online content for media announcements, ensuring consistency with brand messaging.
  • Manage and oversee social media content, ensuring engaging and relevant communication with the target audience.
  • Implement PR policies and procedures, conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on the effectiveness and outcomes of each PR campaign.
  • Build and nurture longterm relationships with relevant brands, companies, influencers, and stakeholders.
  • Develop effective media strategies and provide communication advice to clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain an events calendar and plan weekly events meetings, coordinating logistics and ensuring successful execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in public relations or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of media relations, crisis management, and brand building.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in designing and reviewing online content.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and analyzing engagement metrics.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Creative thinking and problemsolving abilities.

Job Types:
Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Salary:
R9, R12,500.00 per month
