Internal Sales - Hydraulics

Location: Midrand

Salary: R20 000 – R26 000CTC

Purpose: To act as the first point of contact with the external customer, portraying professionalism and confidence that delivers the ultimate in customer service, to build and maintain an active customer base to support the hydraulics Sales team and process all related documents in accordance with policy and procedure.

Main Duties:

  • Receive and process incoming customer orders from call-ins and Sales Reps
  • Follow up on all outstanding orders on a daily basis.
  • Inform customers of order information such as unit prices, availability, shipping dates as well as any anticipated delays there may be.
  • Sell additional stock or services to prospective or current customers where possible.
  • Assist Sales team with quotes and enquiries when out of office, same day requirement
  • Find alternate products where the original items are not available or suitable.
  • Keep filing up to date daily, and ensure that all orders received are recorded.
  • Attend to jobs/queries at the counter, by e-mail and telephonically.
  • Generate quotations for customers and follow up daily
  • Assist with picking stock as per job cards.
  • Assist with hose assemblies.
  • Accurate and prompt receiving of stock from suppliers as per company procedure.
  • Ensure that all customer requirements are satisfied by ensuring that due dates are met and that all orders are correct.
  • Follow up on account queries and payments

Minimum Requirements:

Valid Drivers Licence

Ability to work overtime and be on standby

Proven Technical ability

Able to work accurately

Literacy and Numeracy essential

Mandatory participation in company stock takes

English: Mandatory

Specific skills:

Computer literate & Syspro knowledge

Proactiveness and Client orientation

Basic good knowledge of products

Ensure that, at all times, the company's image is reflected by being suitably dressed, neat, clean and presentable

All other reasonable instructions/functions that may be required by management and/or customer to ensure effective and efficient service delivery
