Job description
Responsibilities:

To promote positive mental health and facilitate the holistic development, and emotional well-being of the College of Health Sciences students, through the provision of assessment, individual and group counselling/therapy, wellness programmes, skills development, and referral services.

The post is based at the respective Hospitals at the Decentralized Clinical Training Platform, viz, Pietermaritzburg.
Minimum requirements:

 Master’s degree in Psychology (Counselling, Clinical,Educational, Industrial) or Master’s degree in Social Work (with specialisation in Clinical Social Work)       Current professional registration as an independent practitioner with the HPCSA or SACSSP. Two (2) years of post-registration, relevant experience as an independent practitioner.            Knowledge of student learning, and development theories Services must be offered face to face at the respective DCTP site
